Bad Credit? We'll
try to help....
(and we won't make you pay a fee for OUR help!)
|
|
|
Okay, so you've had some
credit problems in the past. You've maybe had some late payments,
maybe even declared bankruptcy. And now you're ready to get things
back on track. The problem is that it seems no one wants to
help you....right? |
|
| We hear from
consumers on a daily basis who just need a second chance or help in
rebuilding their credit. Well, we've checked other websites, and
it seems all they want to do is tell people things they already
know. We're going to try to be different........hopefully we'll be
able to give you some sound help. |
| |
|
Let's start out with the basics..... |
Credit
Card Scams
First, one of the biggest scams going on right now which is targeting
people who have bad credit and are looking to try to rebuild their
credit. Basically, people receive a "pre-approved"
certificate in the mail stating that they have been approved for a
credit line of $10,000. All you have to do is mail the company a
check for $25-$50 (more for rush processing, of course!).
What these companies neglect to make clear is that the "credit
card" they are offering is nothing more than a piece of paper that
allows you to purchase overpriced goods from THEIR company. The
card is not a major credit card, such as a Visa or MasterCard.
We have created a message board with TONS of posts on it from people who
have been scammed by these companies, or have read our warnings and
saved their money.
You can click here to read full
details about these companies.

What cards do I
qualify for? |
Ahhhh,
the age-old question! Well, as you probably know by now, there's
no magic answer that will apply to everyone.
First, let's discuss a few things. There's two types of credit
cards:
 |
Secured credit
cards are cards that require you to mail or deposit a sum of
money into your credit card, and you purchases are deducted from
your deposit.
Unsecured credit cards are cards that most people are
familiar with....you are extended a line of credit, of which your
purchases are deducted from, and you pay your account every month. |
|
Since everyone's credit history is different, here's some basic
guidelines that you can use to decide what credit card to apply for:
|
Get a copy of your
credit report.
If you don't have a recent copy of your credit report, get
one! They're very cheap to get, as low as $10, and it really
helps you see what your credit looks like and what good and bad
items show up.
You can click
here to get a copy of your credit report. Not only can
you get a copy of your credit report, but you can also get a copy
of your credit score and receive an analysis of your credit
history, which includes helpful tips to improving your credit
score!
